The Cadillac & LaSalle Club Museum & Research Center is a premier attraction featured at the Gilmore Car Museum. The Cadillac & LaSalle Club was established in 1958 to encourage the preservation of early Cadillacs and LaSalles. The club promotes the development, collection, publication and exchange of helpful information pertaining to Cadillac and LaSalle. 

The Burton Historical Collection (BHC) of the Detroit Public Library is a large collection of original documents that started as the private library of Clarence Monroe Burton.

Clarence Burton, a Detroit attorney, collected Detroit, Michigan and Northwest Territory history for more than 40 years. Mr. Burton understood the importance of his collection for future generations and he donated it to the Detroit Public Library in 1915. This collection contains thousands of maps, images, books and manuscripts.

Brick Walker Tavern

The Brick Walker Tavern is one of many roadside attractions dotting the pastoral landscape of the Irish Hills region in south-central Michigan. Once a favorite stop along Michigan's famed U.S. 12, the facility is now a hotel that hosts weddings and other special events.

Its collections form an unparalleled resource documenting the American experience.

Bement Factory / Bement Wagon

The building up of the Capital City after the Civil War coincided with the opening of the American West. The area's ample supply of lumber and the ease by which iron could be transported from the northern part of the state facilitated the manufacturing of plows and agricultural tools that were in great demand. E. Bement & Sons (founded 1869) would, by the 1880s, become one of the nation's leading suppliers of these tools and the city's largest manufacturing company.

Belle Isle State Park

Drive around this uniquely urban island park located in the Detroit River. Enjoy an amazing view of both the river and the Canadian shoreline. Over 2.5 miles and 985 acres await exploration, from natural wooded areas to the half-mile swimming area that is Detroit's only public beach.

Visit the aquarium or greenhouse. Fish off one of four piers or picnic near the shore. Watch the children climb on the playscape or listen to a concert. This island is packed with adventures for everyone!

Woldumar Nature Center

The "Woldumar" mansion was built in 1930 by auto legend R. E. Olds for his daughter Gladys Olds Anderson. In 1966, Anderson donated 120 acres for a natural science camp known as "Camp Discovery." The Woldumar Nature Center now offers guests 178 acres of outdoor programs and environmental education.
