RFP: Fundraising & Development Consultant

Overview
MotorCities National Heritage Area, Partnership Inc, is a nonprofit and federally designated entity of the National Park Service heritage area system. It seeks an experienced fundraising consultant/firm to diversify its revenue beyond federal appropriations. The selected consultant will strengthen fundraising infrastructure, expand donor and grant support, engage the Board in fundraising, and create sustainable systems that remain in place after the engagement. 

 Scope of Work 
• Assess current fundraising capacity, donor systems, membership programs, and board engagement.
• Develop a multi-year fundraising and revenue diversification plan.
• Strengthen major gifts, annual giving, membership, corporate sponsorship, and foundation fundraising.
• Provide recommendations for the Bonterra donor management platform.
• Train and coach the Board in fundraising and donor cultivation with action plan.
• Develop implementation tools, procedure manual, and systems for sustainability.


Required Qualifications 
• 10+ years of nonprofit fundraising consulting experience.
• Proven success in fundraising assessment, planning, and implementation.
• Experience with board fundraising training and major gifts development.

Preferred: Experience with heritage, cultural, museum, preservation, National Park Service-affiliated organizations, grant writing, and Bonterra CRM.
