"Gilmore Car Museum: Miles from the Ordinary" with Ken Fischang

This session goes behind the scenes at the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, the western gateway to the MotorCities National Heritage Area. See and learn more about some of the amazing automobiles in their collections, including a variety of Packards, a Duesenberg, one of the very first 1953 Chevrolet Corvettes, a rare 1948 Tucker and one of only two 1902 Thomas Touring Cars left in the world. You’ll also get a look at some the Gilmore’s current exhibits now on display.

Ken Fischang, CHME, CMP, CTA is the Gilmore Car Museum’s Director of Commercial Operations. He is responsible for all of the earned revenue at the museum including restaurants, museum store, car shows, events in the museums' ballrooms and meeting spaces. He has spent a three decade career in the hospitality industry in California, Illinois and Michigan. He has opened two hotels, two convention centers and built two destination marketing organizations from the ground up.
