Renaissance Center

Visit the global headquarters for General Motors and one of downtown Detroit's iconic pieces of architecture. Tours of Michigan's tallest building are given Monday through Friday at 12 noon and 2 p.m.

Rentschler Farm

The Rentschler Farm in Saline, MI served as a source of farm produce to city dwellers in the 1900s and today the museum tells the story of local life in the early 20th century. Visitors can also enjoy the Depot Museum and the original Saline mill, once part of Henry Ford's Village Industries, which is now Wellers Funeral Home.

Rochester Hills Museum

The Museum is the primary site for learning about and preserving the history of the greater Rochester area in Oakland County, Michigan, as a representative of similar communities throughout Michigan.

Located in Stoney Creek Village, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, this 16-acre museum complex was home to Taylor and Van Hoosen families dating back to 1823. It features structures original to the property from 1840 to the early 20th century.

Presented in a restored 1927 Dairy Barn are well-designed and informative exhibits highlighting the settlement, agriculture, industry and cultural evolution of this community. The Museum serves as the repository for artifacts and archives related to the greater Rochester area and offers access for research.

On Van Hoosen Rd. just south of Tienken Rd, one mile east of Rochester Road, and one mile north of downtown Rochester.

Roush Automotive Collection

The Roush Automotive Collection is a 30,000 square-foot, private facility. Housed within the collection are a wide variety of displays, multi-media exhibits, artifacts, memorabilia and 110-plus vehicles dedicated to the preservation of the heritage of Roush Enterprises. Tours are available by appointment only.

Sharon Mills County Park

Another piece of Henry Ford's Village Industries, the former grist mill was bought by the auto mogul in the 1920s and quickly rebuilt with a still-functional hydroelectric generator. At its peak, the Sharon Mills employed about 15 workers who manufactured cigar lighters.

Visitors traveling along the inspiring U.S. 12 route through Michigan's Irish Hills can experience another great local tradition at the Stagecoach Stop USA. Time turns back to the Wild West at this fun roadside attraction where visitors can pan for gold, try your hand at the shooting gallery and tour the 22-acre property.

The Bomber Restaurant

Open since 1936, The Bomber restaurant takes its name from the nearby Willow Run Bomber Plant and the workers who filled its booths after finishing their shifts day or night. The walls are lined with WWII uniforms, images and memorbilia as this classic diner pays tribute to local veterans and the Arsenal of Democracy story so closely tied to the Ypsilanti area.
