Gentlemen Tinkerers Judge Wisner and Doctor Bardwell

Tinkerers were known to work on their own automobiles during their spare time in barns and workshops across the state. Judge Charles Wisner and Doctor Hiram Bardwell were two of Flint's gentleman tinkerers during the late 1800's and early 1900's. Judge Wisner built three one-cylinder automobile in his carriage barn and Doctor Bardwell purchased a complete automobile kit of his own in 1901.
