From the Foundry Fires - Engine Blocks for Ford's Model T

Ford was having trouble getting engine parts for the Model N automobiles from foundries in Detroit and in 1907, Lyman Holmes contacted Ford and offered to make the parts in Romeo. In 1908, Holmes was so successful that his foundry began making full engine blocks for Ford's new Model T, one of the most important vehicles in the automotive history.
