Detroit, MI - MotorCities National Heritage Area, an affiliate of the National Parks Service, is proud to announce the recent arrival of Shawn Pomaville as the new Executive Director. Formerly the CEO of Nevada Volunteers, Pomaville joins the team as home-grown talent with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and guidance.
“I am delighted to return to my hometown and have this opportunity to inspire pride in our rich automotive and labor heritage. I want to continue to grow the positive influence that MotorCities National Heritage Area has on our region, our state and our country”, said Pomaville.
Prior to joining the MotorCities, Pomaville served for fifteen years as the Chief Executive Officer of Nevada Volunteers, the Governor’s Commission on Service in Reno, Nevada. She is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University.
“Shawn’s background working as a partner with the federal government, along with her skill in fostering community collaborations, are valuable to MotorCities as we move forward”, said Debra Locke-Daniel, Chairman of the MotorCities National Heritage Area.
Designated by U.S. Congress in 1998, MotorCities National Heritage Area is dedicated to preserving, interpreting and promoting the automotive and labor heritage of the State of Michigan.
