August 2008 promises to be a watershed month in Michigan, as no less than five major automotive events convene here this summer for car-lovers and their families.

Marrying the excitement and speed of car cruises and races with the style and sophistication of a Concours d'Elegance, the new Detroit Festival of Speed and Style (DFOSS) celebrate the automobile in the heart of downtown Detroit, Campus Martius Park - with no admission charge.


Woodward Dream Cruise

The Woodward Dream Cruise is the world's largest one-day celebration of classic car culture, attracting more than 1 million visitors and over 40,000 muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector and special interest vehicles.


Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix

Where: Belle Isle, Detroit
World-class motor racing in the Motor City with the newly-unified IndyCar Series; the American LeMans Series, the world's premier sports car series; and the SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT Championship. GM and Model T centennial activities being planned.
