2016 Michigan Auto Heritage Day

The date of Nov. 30, 2016 has been declared by the Michigan State Senate as Michigan Auto Heritage Day.
This date was declared in Senate Resolution 0217 on Oct. 20, 2016. It is a day where supporters of automotive heritage preservation come together in celebration of the state's unique history of automotive industry.
The Resolution was sponsored by Senators Steven M. Bieda - (primary), Mike Kowall, Jack Brandenburg, Judy K. Emmons, Vincent Gregory, Goeff Hansen, Jim Marleau, John Proos, Tory Rocca, Wayne A. Schmidt, Rebekah Warren and Dale Zorn.
MotorCities will be honoring projects from around the National Heritage Area that have gone above and beyond to protect our rich heritage with our annual Awards of Excellence.
The MotorCities National Heritage Area is a non-profit affiliate of the National Park Service dedicated to preserving, promoting and interpreting the history of the automotive industry and the organized labor movement. Michigan Auto Heritage Day and the Awards of Excellence was founded in 2013.
