Model T Commemorative Coin
MotorCities and The Henry Ford are working to promote the passage of the Model T Ford Automobile Commemorative Coin Act which would authorize the U.S. Mint to produce a commemorative coin, celebrating the centennial of the Model T.

2008 Woodward Dream Cruise Official Registration
On August 16, 2008, only 12,500 people will have the opportunity to be official V.I.P. Cruisers in the 2008 Woodward Dream Cruise.
For $25.00 V.I.P. Cruisers will receive a “limited edition” commemorative plaque and a special access pass that gives them entrance to automotive activities throughout the greater Detroit area during the month of August, and to events during the 2008 Woodward Dream Cruise.

2008: Year of the Car
The celebration is a summer-long auto-tourism festival in the Detroit area to celebrate the respective centennials of General Motors and the Ford Model T. The festival gets under way on May 14, 2008 with National Transportation Week and wraps up during the Automotive Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies on October 7, 2008. Click here for more information.
General Management Plan
MotorCities seeks to amend its General Management Plan to more accurately reflect its operation now and into the future. Public meetings will be conducted throughout the heritage area to provide opportunity for feedback. This feedback will be compiled into a formal request and forwarded to the National Park Service for review and adoption. Click here for more information.
2007 Annual Report
The MotorCities Annual Report is a snapshot of our program and where we're going. During 2007, MotorCities refined its mission and strengthened its brand. In 2008, MotorCities will continue to grow with robust initiatives that stimulate education, preservation, interpretation and tourism. Click here to view the annual report.
Wayside Exhibit Program
MotorCities National Heritage Area is the recipient of a grant from the Federal Highway Administration, Department of Transportation through the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Michigan Department of History, Arts and Libraries. The grant is for the creation of a Wayside Exhibit program in the MotorCities region.
MotorCities is currently soliciting proposals for a sign fabricator for the Wayside Exhibit Program. Proposals must be received by 1:00pm on Monday April 28, 2008. Click here for more information.
MotorCities Summit
The MotorCities Summit is your opportunity to become familiar with current and future initiatives and how you can get involved.
In addition, learn how to generate more revenue for your organization as Gary R. Familian, Managing Director, presents "Profiting from Productization".
The MotorCities Summiy will be held in conjunction with the Michigan Historic Preservation Network (MHPN) conference on Saturday May 10, 2008 from 9am - noon at the Dearborn Inn in Dearborn.

MotorCities Grant Program
MotorCities is currently revamping its grant program. Available funding will be increased to $100,000 for projects that are consistent with the MotorCities' mission and our initiatives.
