Currently, Mike is Archivist at the Bentley Historical Library, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. He earned his M.A. at Wayne State, along with a certificate in Archival Administration. Mike has worked at the Reuther for 20+ years, with a hiatus in the early 1990s, when he earned his Ph.D. candidacy at the University of Michigan, and curated the Motor City Exhibition at the Detroit Historical Museum.
Mike has published numerous journal articles, and presented lectures and conference papers in the fields of archival studies, urban history, the history of Detroit and Michigan, the automotive industry, and labor history. He has also curated exhibits, produced and written for documentary film projects, and conducted numerous oral history projects. Mike is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Library of Michigan, the Michigan Library Foundation Board; the Botsford Foundation Board, the Wayne State University Press Editorial board, as well as the MotorCities Board.
