Celebrate African American History Month with the MotorCities

Throughout the month of February, MotorCities would like you to celebrate African American History Month by exploring the story of African Americans in the automotive industry. From the Great Migration to George Washington Carver, African Americans and automotive history share a common bond that is uniquely Michigan.

Each week in February, MotorCities will be highlighting two subjects featured on the Making Tracks website. Making Tracks is an educational partnership program between MotorCities and the Charles H. Wright Museum on African American History that memorializes the African American experience in the automotive industry.
